Epanko Graphite Project (KNL 100%)

The Epanko Graphite Project is a historically recognised graphite occurrence in south-east Tanzania. Past exploration work has identified course flake, excellent grade graphite material within the project area.

The Epanko Graphite Project hosts the Epanko Deposit – a 100%-owned graphite target comprising a Western Zone of mineralisation and an Eastern Zone of mineralisation. The Company's primary focus is to to fast-track premium quality graphite to development at the Epanko Graphite Project.

  • Bankable Feasibility Study Completed 
  • Mining Licence Granted with Environmental Approvals in place

  • 75% planned production supported by offt-ake agreements 
Off-take Agreements Signed 

Agreements in place for 30,000tpa for 10 years:
  • 20,000tpa with ThyssenKrupp
  • 10,000tpa with European graphite  trader 
These agreements make Kibaran the first ASX-listed company to secure off-take agreements for graphite sales, and the first company globally to sign a binding agreement for graphite sales in the sophisticated European graphite market. The agreement:
  • De-risks the commercialisation and development of the Epanko deposit 
  • Represents independent endorsement of the quality and commercial appeal of the large flake graphite at Epanko 
  • Supports a strong long-term outlook for natural graphite demand, particularly for large flake, expandable graphite 
  • Provides Kibaran with an important strategic partner in the graphite industry to jointly market and sell graphite in Europe, with the security of an overriding off-take agreement.
